The Fifth IEEE Workshop on Spoken Language Technology (SLT 2014) will be held in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, on Dec 7-10, 2014. The main theme of the workshop will be "machine learning in spoken language technologies". The workshop goals include increasing both intra and inter community interaction, by means of keynote/guest speakers from the ML community, online panel discussions, miniSIGs, and highlight sessions.

Important Dates
Paper Submission: July 21, 2014
Full paper submission deadline is on July 21st 2014 midnight (11:59pm) GMT, after which updates of the pdf file will be permitted until July 28th 2014 midnight GMT but the title, author, abstract and topics cannot be changed. There will be no extension of deadlines. The conference will be conducted in English.
Notification of Acceptance: September 5, 2014
Submission Procedure
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length, 4-6 page papers, including figures and references, to the SLT 2014 web site.
