Topics/Call fo Papers
The International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE) is soliciting technical papers for tutorial, oral and poster presentation. Papers reporting new developments in all areas of consumer electronics are invited, including but not limited to those listed below. This year, papers relating to all forms of consumer healthcare technologies, devices, and applications are particularly welcome.
Awards will be given to the best papers presented during the conference.
Conference Theme: The Future of Consumer Healthcare
The ageing world population and an increasing demand for better healthcare suggest substantial growth in Consumer Healthcare over the next decade. Enhancing the healthcare system with early diagnosis and improved post-treatment capabilities will lead to personalized remote care. As consumer electronic devices and services becomemore sophisticated and interconnected, new opportunities arise to leverage these platforms to provide integrated real-time care on-the-go. Technology improvements will penetrate areas such as wireless vital signs monitoring, locationaware telemonitoring systems and wireless health trackers. These developments provide exciting prospects for growth in the healthcare sector for various stakeholders, both consumers and providers alike.
To achieve a seamless integration from home to hospital to home, patient monitoring tools will eventually move towards a fully-enterprise wireless solution. The race to innovate will generate morecost-effective and patient-friendly healthcare solutions that address the pressing needs of the industry. Advances in enterprise-wide healthcare informatics, cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, digital storage, imaging and robotics will be some of the technology enablers ? but ultimately, a consumer-centric approach to design and usability will be key to creating solutionsthat are commerciallysuccessful.

2015 International CES
ICCE 2015 will start and overlap with the final day of the 2015 International CES (Friday 9th January). The program will feature a “Review of the 2015 International CES” by a number of IEEE technical experts.
Special Conference Sessions more
ICCE has always prided itself on covering a broad spectrum of research activity relevant to Consumer Electronics. ICCE 2015 will incorporate several parallel conference tracks of Special, Invited Sessions.
Tutorialsmore
Numerous tutorials on emerging topics are scheduled during the Conference. Brief proposals are welcome and should be submitted by June 30th to ckobert-AT-ieee.org. Proposals must include title, abstract, detailed outline, as well as bio and contact information for the presenter.
Doctoral Workshopmore
The Doctoral Workshop is a more interactive session than a regular conference paper presentation, with a panel of experienced mentors from academia and industry providing specific advice for improvement on the author’s paper and presentation style.
Social Eventsmore
The ICCE is designed both for education and networking. To support the networking, a variety of social events are built into the program to allow for informal discussions and to build longer term relationships of business and personal value. These social events include:
A welcome reception at the conference venue
An offsite recreational evening in Las Vegas
A special Young Professional event for graduates of the last decade
Awards will be given to the best papers presented during the conference.
