In the last couple of decades, there is a major shift from an industrial economy to an information economy. This has led to an enormous increase in competitiveness among companies, and new technology is needed to capitalise on the information economy. Virtual Enterprises (VE) are a new and major trend in the cooperative business, or B2B, scenario. The formation of VE is an intricate process, a new form of technological support has been developed. The most ambitious of the support systems actually intends to automate part of the creation process, as well as the operation of these enterprises. Recently, many research efforts in interesting topics of new paradigm of VE - Networked VE, to focus the collaborative aspect in B2B integration or cross-enterprises collaboration.
The aim of this workshop is to provide an internationally respected forum in order to bring together practitioners and researchers from both academia and industry for discussion and presentations on the current researches and future research directions related to this research area.
