2014 - Aisthema Volume 2014 - Issue 2
Topics/Call fo Papers
Aisthema is an open access electronic Journal, based on a double blind peer-review process, published by the Department of Historical-Philosophical Studies "Pasquale Orlando" at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy, section "St. Thomas Aquinas", in Naples.
In addition to the usual room related to each expression of the philosophical and theological thought, in the next Issue of the Volume I(2014) we would like to devote a Special Section to the theme of the 5th National Conference of the Italian Catholic Church: In Jesus Christ the New Humanism.
Therefore, while continuing to consider every philosophical and theological topic, submissions which deal to the New Humanism will be particularly welcomed. In order to encourage discussion: how can we consider such an excess that makes the man unique among the living beings? How it is possible to develop an "aesthetics" or a "phenomenology" of Freedom in a context that constantly throws new challenges? How can we define the sublime "sense of limits" and the "beauty" of the relationships that make us who we are?
Submissions for the second Issue of Volume I(2014) may fall within the following sections:
- Articles (max. 75.000 characters, including spaces);
- Notes and critical studies (max 35000 characters, including spaces);
- Translations and unpublished classical texts;
- Reviews and Bibliographical Notes (respectively 20000 and 10000 characters, including spaces);
- News (Events, Conferences, etc.).
