ICPT2014 aims to provide an atmosphere for researchers and engineers to discuss, exchange and expose ideas, methods and results in conventional, contemporary and future topics of mechatronics and measurement in precision technology. Following the 1st ICPT at Hamamatsu, Japan, in 2004, the ICPT has been bringing together people working in the field of precision positioning and related technologies at:
Jeju-do, Korea (2006), Hamamatsu, Japan (2008),
Busan, Korea (2010), and Kaohsiung City, Taiwan (2012). We are honored to host the ICPT2014 at Kitakyushu, Fukuoka prefecture, Japan.
Located at the northern coast of Kyushu island of Japan, the city of Kitakyushu, in Fukuoka prefecture, is the second largest city in Kyushu island with about a million population. Historically this region has played an important role as a transportation/information hub to connect Asian countries and Japan. The distance from Kitakyushu city to Dalian and Shanghai, China, or Taipei, Taiwan, is about the same as that to Tokyo,
Japan. Busan, Korea, is just 200 km away from Kitakyushu. As well as its industrial side, the Kyushu region is also renowned by its beautiful nature.
An optional tour(s) to factories or companies related to precision technologies in the Kitakyushu region will be planned.
The conference venue, Kitakyushu International Conference Center, is located just five minutes away by walk from JR Kokura station. It takes about 5 hours from Tokyo to Kokura, about 2 hours from Osaka, by the Shinkansen bullet train. Kitakyushu airport is
located about 40 minutes away by bus from Kokura station. Fukuoka airport is located at the city of Fukuoka.
