UbiCoNet 2010 - Workshop on Ubiquitous Computing and Networks - UbiCoNet 2010
Topics/Call fo Papers
Generally known as Ubiquitous Computing (UbiCo), the vision of UbiCo is to push computing
out of conventional desktop computers into environments characterized by embedded computers
and transparent forms of interactivity. Considerable reductions in prices of devices and
network usage are finally making ubiquitous computing a reality. Ubiquitous computing and
networks have received a significant and sustained research interest in terms of designing
and deploying novel applications/services.
The UbiCoNet workshop aims to provide researchers who share similar research interests with
a forum to meet and address new research challenges and initiatives that concern Ubiquitous
Computing (UbiCo) and Networks (Net).
The workshop program will focus on new research challenges and initiatives, and will allow
authors to present new and emerging trends in ubiquitous computing and networks to dedicated audiences.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
* Ubiquitous Computing and Communications
* Peer-to-Peer Computing
* Multimedia Networks and Services
* Human-Computer Interaction
* Wireless Communication & Networks
* Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs)
* Wireless Sensor Networks
* Mobile Computing
* Agents and Distributed Computing
* User Centered Design in Ubiquitous Networks
* Context-aware Computing and Service Provisioning
* Mobile Augmented Reality
* Mobile Social Communications

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Authors are invited to submit full papers of up to five double-column,
IEEE conference-style pages. One additional page will be allowed with
additional publication fee. All submitted papers will be carefully
evaluated by at least three reviewers based on originality,
significance, technical soundness, and clarity of expression. Accepted
papers will appear in the IEEE GLOBECOM proceedings and will be included
in IEEE digital library.
At least one of the authors of accepted papers must attend the workshop
to present the paper. An accepted paper must be registered before the
registration deadline. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from
distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if
the paper is not presented at the workshop. In case of double
submissions or (self-)plagiarism, the paper will be excluded from the
technical program.
