Topics/Call fo Papers

Overview: Review the history, timeline, implementation work plan, and timing for the technology upgrades, staff training and partner testing to ensure readiness for the October 1, 2014 implementation date. A solid implementation plan will prevent a coding "lag time" due to missing documentation and delayed charge capture.
Why should you attend: The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA-ACMPE) survey performed in June 2013 indicated that most practices have planned to train their clinical staff, revenue cycle staff and coding staff on ICD-10 between January 1, 12014 and October 1, 2014.
Over 55% of practices that responded to the survey have not yet started their implementation in terms of technology upgrades, training, and testing. Delaying preparation based on the past delays in the transition date will cause practices to rush to be ready. CMS has stated that there will be no further delays.
Areas Covered in the Session:
Training plan and timing (identifying staff and their training needs)
Technology changes required
Testing of systems with all transactions partners
Who Will Benefit:
Practice Administrators
Systems Support Managers
Billing Managers
