12th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (ICMGP) to be held in Jeju, Republic of Korea during June 14-19, 2015.
According to UNEP’s ‘Global Mercury assessment 2013’, mercury concentration in ocean have been constantly increasing, and delays in action will inevitably lead to slower recovery of the world’s ecosystems from mercury contamination, giving a legacy of pollution to future generations.
Through this conference, with the theme of ‘Today’s action, Saving the future’, our wish is to enhance understanding on every aspects of mercury issues. We strongly believe that the ICMGP will once again provide an opportunity to advance communications and reach an agreement on actual mercury reduction actions?where networking among academics, governments, industries, and citizen is essential along with the cooperation between developed and developing countries.
Jeju, the conference venue, is the unique volcanic island with designations of UNESCO’s Biosphere Reserve, World Natural Heritage and World Geopark. We hope that you fully enjoy yourself with the exotic nature of this beautiful island.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Jeju, 2015.
