In this globalized, digitized world, high-functional and user-friendly information systems are the most important key infrastructure for our daily life, while a greater variety of information systems are expected to develop and employed to satisfy different needs of different people and different sectors of the society. Thus it is essential to design and implement innovative information systems that provide better services and to study and develop more advanced knowledge, methods, and techniques of software engineering that will enable us to construct such information systems in better, quicker, and more inexpensive ways.
The First International Conference on Advanced Software Engineering and Information Systems (ICASEIS 2013), to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 28th to 30th, November, 2013, calls for new, original, innovative studies to contribute to the development of software engineering and information systems.
