In this ever-changing world, where natural resources are limited and the population has been steadily increasing, sustainability is the key issue to keep and develop the quality of life of every one of us. At the same time, in this more and more globalized world, economic problems too often transforms and destroys regional and cultural heritages, which leads to cultural identity crises and to wider gaps between the wealth and the poor. This is another aspect of why sustainable development is needed.
