We are pleased to provide you with the Call for Papers (http://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/academia/kaleidoscope/... ? deadline 25 November 2013) for the ITU Kaleidoscope academic conference 2014, technically co-sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Com Soc, IEICE and Popov Society, that will take place from 3 to 5 June 2014 at the Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT), Russian Federation.
In its sixth year, Kaleidoscope 2014 Living in a converged world ? impossible without standards? is calling for academic papers offering innovative approaches to research on the role of ICT standardization in today’s global economy characterized by accelerating convergence of industry sectors and technologies. A prize fund totalling $10,000 will be awarded to the three best papers.
Kaleidoscope, led by the UN agency for ICTs, ITU, is the essential forum for sharing knowledge, strengthening the dialogue with universities and R&D institutions, fostering networking and cooperation in both industrialized and developing countries, identifying emerging developments in ICTs, and has an excellent track record for fostering innovation and identifying solutions outside the box.
Kaleidoscope 2014 will see the participation of renowned ICTs experts, university leaders, academics, policymakers and practitioners from all over the world, to address innovative proposals and ideas, as well as the results of their latest researches.
