VARE 2013 - 2013 International Conference on Virtual and Augmented Reality in Education

VARE 2013, is the 2nd international conference on technology, applications and use of Virtual and Augmented Reality in the education field. Previous conference was held in Latvia, at the Sociotechnical Systems Engineering Institute of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.
VARE invites you to join us on November 7-8th 2013 at Puerto de La Cruz, Tenerife, Canary Islands, SPAIN. We are excited that this year’s conference is being held on the University of La Laguna, at Puerto de la Cruz, located in the North of Tenerife Island, Spain.
The University of La Laguna is one of the public research universities in Spain ranked as a leader in many of the academic disciplines such as: Computer Science, Engineering, HCI, Robotics & Computer Vision, Digital Media Psychology, Medicine and Education among others.
The Sociotechnical Systems Engineering Institute of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences was founded in July, 2006. It is one of strongest scientific institution on simulation and virtual reality research in the Baltic area. Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences is becoming as one of the most innovative regional academic educational and research centers in the Baltic region.
Puerto de la Cruz is located in the coastal area of the Valley of La Orotava in the North of Tenerife ? the largest island of the Canarian archipelago. The Canary Islands, once known as the Garden of the Hesperides, are situated 1,500km away from the Spanish mainland and 100km from the African coastline.
