MOTBI 2013 - Special session on Modelling and Optimization Techniques for Business Intelligence MOTBI 2013
Topics/Call fo Papers
Optimization is an important intelligent computing area and an active research field.
Revitalization of earlier methods due to availability of high performance computing, inauguration of novel Optimization methodologies, as well as continuing demands for solving non-linear and complex problems, fierce competition, and cutting edge profit margins in manufacturing and business sectors are raisons d'être that make this subject area a strong and high demand topic for researchers.
The goal of this session is to provide an open place which should allow researchers and practitioners to discuss recent developments in models and optimization methods for decision making in Business Intelligence.
Call for papers
We would like to invite you to submit an original and not published elsewhere paper on Models and Optimization Methods for various areas including but not limited to
Ø Communication Network
Ø Operations Management: Management - Logistics, Project Management, Production Planning and Scheduling, Location and Layout, Routing and Distribution, Resource Allocation, Flexible Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Conducts of Complex Industrial Systems, Simulation in Engineering
Ø Transport, Aerospace Engineering, Air Traffic Management
Ø Genomics, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology,
Ø Economy and Finance
Ø Data mining
Ø Machine Learning
Ø Computer Vision
Ø Image processing
Ø Security, Reliability, Trust
Ø Mechanical and Structural Engineering
Submitted papers should be prepared in Springer LNAI style http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html with title, authors' names, affiliations and email addresses, an up to 150-words abstract, and a single-column and single-spaced body. The manuscript should be written in English with contexts of font size at 10 pts and no more than 10 pages. All papers will be thoroughly reviewed by the MOTBI 2013 International Program Committee.
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the prestigious series LNAI (indexed by ISI, EI, DBLP, Inspec, Scope, etc.). All presented papers, but particularly those nominated for the Best Paper competition will be automatically considered for publication in the extended versions in several special issues for ISI, SCI journals.
Submission is via the main conference system (http://software.ucv.ro/ICCCI2013/). There will be an option available for submitting papers directly to MOTBI 2013.
