4th International Conference on Education & Educational Psychology
2-5 October 2013
Antalya, Turkey
I'm deeply honoured to chair the 4th International Conference on Education and Educational Psychology and I am delighted to invite you to attend. Students, researchers, practitioners, educators, teachers, psychologists, educationalists, we all have this great opportunity to come together at the beautiful Antalya by the Mediterranean coast of Turkey to share cutting-edge thinking and together find effective solutions to the key challenges that we are facing.
Important challenges come into local or larger guises. There are many local challenges that can be overcome through international collaboration. We live in a world of increased international mobility; not only we as professionals are more mobile, but also the people to whom we provide services come from a range of countries and cultural backgrounds. We need to be responsive to such diversity, whilst utilising it as a source of strength and as an opportunity for innovation and improvement.
ICEEPSY 2013 has every potential to build on the successes of its three predecessors. ICEEPSY 2011 has attracted over 370 presentations from 45 countries, and ICEEPSY 2012 has advanced even that with over 450 registered participants from 57 countries. The ICEEPSY 2013 Scientific Committee and Board of Reviewers are working hard to ensure that the quality of this event exceeds any precedent.
In the established tradition of the previous three Conferences, ICEEPSY 2013 will publish all accepted full-text papers in Procedia - Social and Behavioral Journal (ISSN: 1877-0428 - ELSEVIER) and indexed in ScienceDirect, Scopus & Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI, Web of Science). Moreover, accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book ICEEPSY (ISSN: 1986-3020), a serial publication that has been registered with the International Centre for the Registration of Serial publications in Paris.
ICEEPSY 2013 especially welcomes papers from the following and related topics: Assessment and Evaluation, Teacher Education, Basic Education, Basic Skills; Counselling Psychology; Adolescent Growth and Development, Educational Psychology; Continuing Education, Higher Education, Quality Assurance / Institutional Effectiveness; Learning Theories, Effective Teaching Practices, Second Language Teaching; New approaches in Psychology; Special Education, Education and Technology, ICT, Distance Learning.
The quality of ICEEPSY 2013 is further accentuated by its internationally renowned keynote speakers. ICEEPSY 2013 will, in addition, feature a range of interesting workshops as well as a Special International Roundtable for participants to engage in additional discussions related to the key topics addressed at the Conference and further cross-fertilisation across thematic sections.
I am also delighted that the organisers of the Conference are working hard to ensure that the scientific quality of the Conference is mirrored by the practical aspects of our stay. I am looking forward to discovering Antalya’s Mediterranean Gulf, its surrounding mountains and forests, and the ancient ruins, as well as enjoying the renowned local cuisine.
I look forward to seeing you in Antalya in October 2013.
