IPA 2013 - 16th International Congress of the International Psychogeriatric Association

It gives me immense pleasure to host the 16th IPA International Congress (IPA 2013) in Seoul, Korea from October 1st to 4th, 2013. On behalf of the IPA 2013 organizing committee, I extend a very warm and cordial invitation to all of you.
IPA has held International Congresses since it was founded in 1982. As the most highly acclaimed meeting in the field of the mental health and aging for old people, IPA 2013 is expected to draw over 1,000 participants from around the world.
Under the theme “Towards Successful Aging: Harmony of Mental, Physical and Social Life,” a wide range of scientific programs will be organized. Advances in the treatment of dementia, depression and other mental disorders in the elderly and the improvement of quality of care will be discussed and explored in a diverse, multidisciplinary and open forum. We are assembling internationally renowned groups of scientists and clinicians (all experts in their field) to contribute to the core program while also providing opportunities for bright, promising young researchers to present their data and new ideas. The program will be comprehensive, stimulating, and informative.
IPA 2013 will be a highly rewarding international experience for everyone. Additionally, I encourage you to take this chance to explore the many facets of Seoul and experience our unique Korean culture.
