While industries and corporations have acknowledged the importance of Web 2.0 and started integrating Web 2.0 to their business processes, they provided limited contribution to burgeoning knowledge in Web 3.0. Web 3.0, also called the Intelligent Web has different definitions, but it refers to the provision of a more productive, personalized and intuitive environment through the integration of Semantic Web and in general Artificial Intelligence technologies emphasizing the information understanding. Web 3.0 means that our things, our belongings will have the power to learn, intuit and decide. The Smart Commerce is one of the definitions of the Web 3.0, bringing new approaches to do e-business. The Smart Commerce with other Web 3.0 definitions means that soon we might have fully globalized services which would tend business to transform accordingly to the new step of globalization.
W3SC2013 is the international workshop on advances in theory, applications and different approaches of using Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce. This workshop is about business transformation according to the Web 3.0 and its definitions, about new types of services and innovative business models due to the high impact of the Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce as a next step of globalization.
Goals
The increase of Business research activities can be observed in a variety of the fields. Though there have been several workshops on Business and Services focused on Web 3.0 and Smart Commerce, there is little interaction so far among researchers. The aim of the workshop is to encourage activities in this field, and to bring together world-wide researchers with an interest in Web 3.0. Unlike the conventional conferences, this workshop will mainly discuss and explore theoretical and practical problems raised by the participants. Especially, we provide enough discussion parses for understanding the importance of sustainability and the relationships between the Web 3.0 and Computer science, Management science.

Dr. Svetlana Maltseva has many years of experience in e-commerce and e-business. Main research areas are social networks and social computing, e-commerce and e-business, Web 3.0, Smart Commerce, innovations in IT. Dr. Maltseva is a member of the Focus Group: Bridging the Gap from innovation to standard of the ITU, one of the organizers of the annual Big Data Science Forum (2012), co-chair of the organizing committee of the Workshop on technological and legal aspects of the internet governance at the Internet governance forum (IGF-2012).

Dr. Mikhail Komarov has main research interests in web of things, Web 3.0, Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks and innovations in IT. He participated at several international research projects considering Internet of Things and Web 3.0. He was organizer of the Summer School on E-commerce and E-business in Hong Kong in 2012. He is also interested in mobile applications development and Smart Commerce solutions.
