TESL 2013 - 2nd International Workshop on Technology-Enhanced Social Learning 2013
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2nd International workshop on Technology-Enhanced Social Learning will be jointly held with the 2013 IEEE International Conference on iThings/CPSCom/GreenCom (http://www.china-iot.net/index.html) in Beijing, China during August 20?23, 2013. This workshop aims to provide a premier international forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss the most recent research on the latest developments in TESL. In particular, original ideas and research articles are solicited ranging from theoretical studies, practical applications, new communication technologies, and experimental prototypes, in order to map out the directions for future developments and the research collaborations.
With the high development of SNS (Social Network Service), learning through interaction and collaboration in a community or across a social network has become increasing popular, as more and more people are increasingly accustomed to sharing feelings, experience, and knowledge in this social networking revolution. Social learning, considered as a leading method of spreading knowledge in various environments, focuses on the learning that occurs through interactions and collaborations in a community or across a social network within a social context, which can better support both faculties and students in the education and learning process. We welcome contributions to advance high quality research in methods, theories, techniques and tools concerning the idea of social learning, in order to prompt the learning and education development in the next era.
All accepted papers in TESL2013 will be published in the Proceedings of CPSCom 2013, with IEEE Publisher, which will be indexed by EI Compedex and ISTP.
After the workshop, authors of selected outstanding papers will be invited to submit extended editions of their papers to a Special Issue on Social Computing and Social Knowledge for e-Learning of IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies.
