IWFIT 2013 - The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Future Internet Technologies
Topics/Call fo Papers
This workshop aims at providing opportunities for sharing leading-edge technical topics and professional development including research and experimentation methodologies on the Future Internet. It also offers an excellent opportunity for young researchers to have discussions with world experts and to make interpersonal networking.
Theme and Scope of the Workshop
The Internet is becoming the global digital infrastructure, but its design still faces many challenges. Many of these issues arose due to the technology advances and drastic changes of the environment which bring fundamental changes in the requirements. The Future Internet has become the research theme for the global networking community to creating a better digital environment for the future. This workshop aims at providing opportunities for sharing leading-edge technical topics and professional development including research and experimentation methodologies on the Future Internet. It also offers an excellent opportunity for young researchers to have discussions with world experts and to make interpersonal networking.
This workshop solicits papers that have obtained good results, are posing questions, or are work-in-progress. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
? Architectures, protocols, and algorithms for the Future Internet (FI)
? Routing, forwarding, addressing, identification and location for FI
? Software Defined Networking
? Information Centric Networking/Named Data Networking
? Recursive networking
? Locator/ID separation
? Delay (or Disruption) tolerant networks
? Internet of Things
? Modeling, measurement, monitoring and simulation of networks
? Implementation/Experiences of FI
? Testbed networks
? Network Virtualization
? Fusion of computing and networking
? Green networking architecture and technologies
? Mobility architecture and technologies
? Security/Trust architecture and technologies
? Innovative services and applications for FI
Submission
Papers must be submitted electronically via the IWFIT 2013 Submission Page once it becomes available.
Follow the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/submissio....
All papers will be carefully reviewed by at least three reviewers. Papers can be submitted as regular papers (six pages), and the acceptance will depend on reviewer feedback. Accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings of the IEEE Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 2013) by the IEEE CS Press. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper or fast abstract must register as a full participant of the workshop to have the paper or fast abstract published in the proceedings. Each accepted paper must be presented in person by an author.
