The workshop aims at providing a forum for discussions and presentations about IT-enabled Services (ITeS), in order to foster learning the new developments in ITeS research, as well as sharing ideas about such developments within the addressed community.
Theme and Scope of the Workshop
The Internet is certainly one of the core infrastructures in the global economy. As multinational corporations operate globally, mobility of goods, human resources and information resources are expanding in a tremendous scale. Penetration of broadband lets the movement accelerated not only in the scale but also in the scope. Use of broadband lets services in digital form to become IT-enabled Services (ITeS). The scale and scope of ITeS are expanding. Since 2008, the IEEE/SAINT Workshops of ITeS have attracted varieties of contributors, including government, business and researchers. Participants have been multinational as a reflection of the nature of ITeS. The Fifth Workshop on IT-enabled Services aims to further the momentum of the previous workshops and cover new scope such as the use of ITeS in agricultural business practices, CGM, etc. Expected topics for discussions also include but not limited to information management, business administration with the help of ICT, innovative use of the internet for providing services, and so on. We invite not only business persons or regulators but also engineers, all who are interested in open up the frontier of collaborative development of application of internet - the application in ITeS.
Any submission whose content is relevant to the area of resource-aware system design will be considered, but any submission whose subject matter is related to one of the following topics will be particularly welcome:
* ITeS in agricultural service practices
* CGM (Consumer Generated Media) and ITeS
* Business model and Applications of IT-enabled Services
* Contents Provision and IT-enabled Services
* IT-enabled Service Platform Management
* Effective use of Ubiquitous network architecture
* IT-enabled Services in Medical Practices
* Conflicts and IT-enabled Services
* Protection of Privacy and Security in IT-enabled Services
Submission
Papers must be submitted electronically via the ITeS 2013 Submission Page once it becomes available.

All papers will be carefully reviewed by at least three reviewers. Papers can be submitted as regular papers (six pages), and the acceptance will depend on reviewer feedback. Accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings of the IEEE Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 2013) by the IEEE CS Press. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper or fast abstract must register as a full participant of the workshop to have the paper or fast abstract published in the proceedings. Each accepted paper must be presented in person by an author.
