Call for Papers
With advent of 4G network on mobile phone communications, a huge number of people has had 24 hours and high speed Internet connectivity. They has begun to use web as a tool for collaboration on business, artistic works, hobbies, social activities, and so on. The importance of web services and social media is getting higher and higher. Futuristic technologies on web services become a driving force to provide an epoch-making service for social media.
International Workshop on Web Services and Social Media (WSSM) encompasses a wide range of topics in the research, design, and implementation of Web related things, especially, social activity on the Internet. The first workshop on WSSM-2012 was held successfully in Melbourne, Australia. And in this time, the second workshop on WSSM-2013 will be held in Gwangju, Korea in conjunction with the 16th International Conference on NBiS-2013. This workshop provides an international forum for researchers and participants to share and exchange their experiences, discuss challenges and present original ideas in all aspect of Web Services and Social Media. You are invited to submit papers in these areas and welcome to participate in the workshop. We welcome not only research papers on WSSM technology but also reports on requirements of WSSM in all domains. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Web Services, Web API, SNS, Social Media, Community Functions,
Mobile Services, Location-Aware apps, eLearning Services,
P2P Web apps, Web Mashups, Web Virtual Space,
User-Generated Content, Consumer-Generated Media,
Information Retrieval, XML, Data Mining,
HTML5, CSS3, SOAP, UDDI, WSDL
Paper Submission
The proceedings of the NBiS-2013 conference and workshops will be published by IEEE CPS. Authors are invited to submit research contributions representing original, previously unpublished work. Please submit a 6-pages paper in IEEE Computer Society format (two columns in A4). You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page: Information for Authors. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. All papers will be refereed by members of the program committee.
