ISSE 2013 - The 4th International Workshop on Intelligent Sensors and Smart Environments (ISSE 2013)
Topics/Call fo Papers
To automatically provide human-centric services, it is desired to build smart envionments for such a purpose.
The background system needs to first detect and collect needed information in the environment via various sensors like video cameras, RFIDs, infrared sensors, motion sensors, pressure sensors, and ... etc.
The information is then processed for understanding the context and intention of the people in the environment.
Finally services are provided in a timely manner. Sensing technology, embedded systems, wireless communications and intelligent methods are the core to build integrated smart environments.
This workshop wishes to attract state-of-the-art solutions and novel attempts in this field.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following
- Sensing technologies for smart environments
- Intelligent information processing for smart environments
- Wired/wireless networking for smart environments
- Embedded systems for smart environments
- Context-aware services
- Adaptive and personalized systems
- Human-centric computer interfaces
- Dependable and secure systems and devices
- Ambient/ubiquitous/pervasive computing and intelligence
- Human behavior understanding for smart environments
- Image and video analysis for smart environments
