The workshop on Business in Information and Communication Technologies (BICT) tackles the converged area of “telecommunications, informatics and media-technology sector”, while focusing on the integration of their business models with respective technology and networks. BICT does address as well “info-communications and media-technology” and “telecommunications, informatics and media technology”. Since those areas determine the basis for a successful business and of high relevance for almost all industries, the information and communication technologies have to be embedded into related business models, which enable the integration of technology perspectives, economic dimensions, and a user centricity into a homogeneous and viable combination.
As such a multitude of questions arises, which includes amongst others: How to build up the B2B model for the basic infrastructure of the Information society? In which way can technology and economics be aligned efficiently? How does user demands are reflected in such business models? Which stakeholders need to be integrated into a business model definition process?
Therefore, BICT targets at the following topics, not excluding other related ones:
