Topics/Call fo Papers
Chaired by Wei Zhang ( weiz-AT-tju.edu.cn,Tianjin University, China)
Socio-economic systems are the combination of various adaptive entities that employ the economic theory and method to study the social value. To understand the complex socio--economic problems, particularly with respect to the emergent phenomena resulted from individual interaction, advanced tools are imperatively required. Agent-based modeling, as a theoretical and methodological tool for simulating the actions and interactions of autonomous agents with a view to assessing their collective effect on the system, has seen a variety of applications in recent years, including economics, management science, computer science, psychology, sociology, etc., which helps developing a better understanding of their problem domains and making better decisions. Workshop aims at providing a unique platform of communication for agent-based modeling applications to study the complex socio-economic problems. It intends to bringing researchers and practitioners to present the latest findings of various researches, to discuss the modeling techniques, and to promote the cross-fertilization of ideas. The focus of this session/workshop is especially on simulating heterogeneous interacting behavior to gain insight into emergent phenomena and collective behaviors. The workshop topics will cover research in all areas relating to agent-based modeling either theoretical or empirical. Topics comprise, but are not limited to:
* Agent-based computational finance
* Agent-based modeling and simulation
*Evolutionary game theory
*Emergent macroeconomics
* Market microstructure
*Econophysics
* Socio-economic networks
* Urban complex adaptive systems
* Environmental modeling
* Green technologies
*Crisis modeling and simulation
*Information diffusion
