Workshop Chair:
Liang Liang ( lliang-AT-ustc.edu.cn,University of Science and Technology of China, China)
Qinglong Gou ( tslg-AT-ustc.edu.cn ,University of Science and Technology of China, China)
Zhimin Huang ( huang-AT-adelphi.edu,Adelphi University, USA)
Results derived from traditional Operations Management often deviate from practices. Noting this gap between theory and practice, increasing researchers are trying to take human behaviors into consideration during the past decade, to investigate their impacts on complex operations systems. Here, human behaviors which have been studied include overconfident, loss aversion, emotion, mental accounting, time inconsistent as so on. This special workshop focuses on the impacts of human being behaviors on supply chain decisions, which can be both empirical and modeling. The purposes of this workshop include: (i) to share the latest research work of this area, (ii) to identify new research problems related behavioral research in operations management; and (iii) to enhance interdisciplinary collaborations among researchers.
