The International Journal of Social Media and Interactive Learning Environments (IJ-SMILE: http://www.inderscience.com/ijsmile) aims to provide a platform for practitioners and researchers to share their practices and research, and publish empirical research articles about using social media (or social networking sites) and other web 2.0 tools to support interactive and collaborative learning. It will be published in print and online by the InderScience Publishers.
The inaugural issue is going to be printed out in January 2013. The papers which have been accepted for publication in the first issue are listed on the web site (http://www.inderscience.com/info/ingeneral/forthco...). Now we are seeking scholarly manuscripts for forthcoming issues. You are cordially invited to submit a research paper to the journal for consideration of publication. Suitable topics include but are not limited to:
? Social networking sites (e.g. weblog, wiki, Facebook, twitter) for learning
? Technological affordances of social media for teaching and learning
? Web 2.0 tools for teaching and learning
? Issues and concerns with using social media for learning
? Web-based collaborative and interactive learning
? Computer-supported collaborative learning
? Informal learning with social technologies
? Interactive and social learning
? Online course design and development
