ICSD 2010 - 10th IEEE International Conference on Solid Dielectrics ICSD 2010
Topics/Call fo Papers
The International Conference on Solid Dielectrics is a triennial conference that has been successfully held around Europe since its inauguration in Toulouse, France in 1983 as International Conference on Conduction and Breakdown in Solid Dielectrics.
The following eight conferences took place in Erlangen, Germany (1986), Trondheim, Norway (1989), Sestri Levante, Italy (1992), Leicester, United Kingdom (1995), Västerås, Sweden (1998), Eindhoven, Netherlands (2001), Toulouse, France (2004), and Winchester, United Kingdom (2007). Since the beginning of this century, the conferences are being held under the new name of International Conference on Solid Dielectrics. The tenth conference in the series (ICSD 2010) will take place in Potsdam, Germany in July 2010.
ICSD provides an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange and discussion of ideas, research results and practical phenomena related to solid dielectrics exposed to electric fields and other stresses.
The conference is an opportunity for physicists, chemists, material scientists and electrical engineers who are engaged in research, experimentation and practice in this field to come together, review collective progress, consider the latest developments and discuss the future challenges in the area of solid dielectrics.
You are very welcome to attend and to contribute to the 10th International Conference on Solid Dielectrics to be held from Sunday, July 4th, until Friday, July 9th at the University of Potsdam in Germany. Potsdam is the capital of Brandenburg, one of Germany's 16 federal states. Potsdam is very near to Berlin and is well known for its rich historical heritage and its magnificent parks and gardens. Its university features a large science faculty that is closely connected to a range of renowned research institutes in Potsdam such as the Max-Planck Institutes of Colloids and Interfaces, for Gravitational Physics, and of Molecular Plant Physiology, the Fraunhofer Institutes for Applied Polymer Research and for Biomedical Engineering, the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam (German Research Centre for Geosciences, GFZ), and to several Leibniz institutes, as well as to a range of universities, prestigious research centres and independent scientific institutes in Berlin and Brandenburg.
