Special Session on

Mining and Learning from Dynamic Graphical Networks

http://fuzzy.cs.ovgu.de/mldgn2012/

as part of the 14th International Conference on

Information Processing and Management of Uncertainty

in Knowledge-Based Systems (IPMU) 2012

http://www.ipmu2012.unict.it/

Catania, Italy, July 9 - 13, 2012

Submission Deadline: December 10, 2011

There is a great necessity and interest in analyzing dynamic
graphs like the World Wide Web, social networks, or
biological networks. Typically analysis methods from
classical data mining and network theory have been studied
separately in different fields of research. The main goal of
this session is to boost interdisciplinary research by
combining techniques of different fields.

TOPICS AND SCOPE OF THE SESSION

The session topics include (but are not limited to):
- dynamic graphs measures
- mining algorithms for very large databases of graphs
- graph stream mining
- analysis methods for temporal networks
- dynamic community discovery in online or offline networks
- analysis of dynamics and evolution of graphical patterns
- visual representation of dynamic networks
- applications of dynamic graph analysis in the World Wide

Web, social networks, biological networks and others

PAPER SUBMISSION

All session papers must be submitted to the IPMU-2012
conference. IPMU-2012 solicits original research
contributions of theoretical and methodological nature as
well as application-oriented work. IPMU-2012 will not accept
any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review
or has already been accepted for publication in a journal or
another conference. Authors are also expected not to submit
their papers elsewhere during the review period.
Contributions will be selected based upon their quality as
evaluated by 2 - 3 referees.

The paper must be written in English and formatted according
to the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes guidelines. Author
instructions and style files can be downloaded at
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.

The length of papers is at most 10 pages in this format.
Please note that the submission format is PDF only. Papers
must be submitted electronically via EasyChair:
https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=...
Existing EasyChair accounts can be used.

When submitting a paper for the special session MLDGN 2012,
there will be a possibility to indicate whether the paper
fits the topic of this special session (called "groups" in
EasyChair). This is simply done by ticking the corresponding
box for MLDGN 2012. Please note that you can tick any number
of boxes (including 0).
