Topics/Call fo Papers

Network bandwidth is increasing and hardware and Internet services are being rapidly developed. Cloud computing as a new Internet service has become a popular means of allowing the development of dynamic, distributed and highly scalable software. For this purpose, Cloud Computing offers services, software and computing infrastructure independently through the network.
Leveraging cloud computing technology, bioinformatics tools can be made available as services to anyone anywhere and any device. The use of large bio-datasets, its highly demanding algorithms and the hardware for sudden computational resources, make large-scale bio-data analysis an attractive test-case for cloud computing.
CBA 2012 is intended to provide a forum for researchers to present their contributions as technical papers related to the Bioinformatics and Its applications for Cloud Computing, considering Bioinformatcis tools on Cloud, Bio-Database on the Cloud, Cloud-Based Bio-Computing and all kinds of successful applications. The papers solicited in CBA 2012 cover a variety of topics including but not limited to:
Cloud computing for computational biology techniques (i.e., sequence alignment, phylogenetic tree construction, genome analysis)
Cloud computing for next-generation sequencing techniques and applications (i.e., re-sequencing, genome assembly, metagenomic)
Cloud computing for RNA/Protein structure or function prediction and classification
Cloud computing for systems biology (i.e., domain-domain interaction, protein-protein interaction, pathways, network comparison, network alignment)
Cloud computing for biological applications (i.e., viral research, infection disease)
Cloud computing for biochip analysis (i.e., microarray, chip analysis)
Cloud computing for drug design (i.e., modeling, virtual screening, docking)
Cloud computing for biological databases
Cloud computing for biological service
We invite you to submit papers with unpublished, original research describing recent advances on the areas related to this workshop. All papers will undergo peer review by the conference program committee. All papers accepted will be included in the Workshop Proceedings and will be available at the workshops. Authors of selected papers will be invited to extend their papers for submission to special issues in prestigious Journals.
