Special Issue on Dynamic Intelligence for Sustainable Computing
Theme and Scope
The ever-growing cloud computing and services provide dynamic intelligence and play an increasingly critical role in all aspects of our lives. With dramatically increasing demand on computing and storage systems, IT infrastructures have been scaled tremendously which results in huge amount of energy consumption, heat dissemination, greenhouse emission and even part of climate change. As such, green computing has come to the picture seeking solutions for computing and IT infrastructures to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
This special issue aims to foster the dissemination of high quality research in any new idea, method, theory, technique, and applications for enabling sustainable and green computing with dynamic intelligence. The objective of this special issue is to showcase the most recent developments and research in the cloud and green computing fields, as well as to enhance its state-of-the-art. Original and research articles are solicited in all aspects, including theoretical studies, practical applications, new communication technology, and experimental prototypes. The papers will be peer reviewed and selected on the basis of both their quality and their relevance to the theme of this special issue.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Dynamic Intelligence for IaaS
- Dynamic Intelligence for PaaS
- Automated and adapted services for dynamic intelligence
- New idea and prototype implementation for dynamic intelligence
- Commercial or Industrial business models for dynamic intelligence
- Practice of high performance computing and communications for dynamic intelligence
- Power-aware algorithms and protocols
- Power-aware software and hardware
- Life-cycle analysis of IT equipments
- Energy harvesting, storage and recycling
- Renewable energy models and prediction
- Embedded systems and its software for dynamic intelligence
