GreenPS 2012 - The 2012 International Workshop on Green and Pervasive Software (GreenPS 2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
As with the other software, pervasive software has to consume energy and impose the impacts on the environment in some degree, whereas pervasive environments impose more constraints on power consumption of software. Therefore, constructing pervasive software which can run in a green way will be more pressing and important. On the other hand, software in pervasive environments can play another role, i.e. it can help people to form eco-responsible behaviors. By and large, the environment-friendly solutions are expected.
Topics of Interest
This workshop is to gather researchers and engineers together to analyze and recognize the new challenges brought by building pervasive software in a sustainable and energy-efficient way and to foster discussion and work together on various aspects, including but not limited to:
Modeling, prediction and intelligent management of energy-consumption,
Green intelligence,
Energy-efficient algorithms and protocols for pervasive software,
Intelligence discovery in pervasive software,
Human-Computer Interaction technology in pervasive software,
Environment-related Pervasive applications such as intelligent transportation, green logistics,
Industry view and experience of pervasive software.
Paper Publication
Accepted workshop papers will be included in the proceeding published by IEEE Computer Society Press (Indexed by EI).
