PAA 2012 - Workshop on Perception for automotive applications
Topics/Call fo Papers
Organizers: Martin D. Adams, Eduardo Nebot, Juan Nieto
Description: Perception is the process by which a system interprets and organises the outputs of sensors to produce a meaningful interpretation of the world. It is one of the fundamental requirements for any autonomous system. Safety systems currently installed in vehicles use different kinds of perception sensors to detect the presence of objects in the direction of travel. Such systems are used as operator assistance measures, such as lane following, cruise control and pre-crash control execution. The applications are very wide including on and off road vehicles.
This workshop aims at, but is not limited to, the presentation of new results in the field of perception applied to outdoor vehicles. The topics include application of the following areas:
? Vehicle and Pedestrian detection
? Collision detection and avoidance
? Driver assistance
? Road detection
? Environment representation
? Lane Detection and Lane keeping
? Automatic cruise control systems
? Cooperative Perception
? 3D reconstruction
? New Perception Sensors
