The 2010 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation & Test (VLSI-DAT) will be held in the Ambassador Hotel, Hsinchu, TAIWAN on April 26-29, 2010. Sponsored by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the VLSI-DAT provides a forum for presenting new innovations and achievements related to VLSI design, automation, and test. Original unpublished papers are solicited. Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE and be included in IEEE eXplorer after presentation in the symposium.

The VLSI-DAT was spun-off in 2005 from the influential 22-year-old International Symposium on VLSI Technology, Systems, and Applications (VLSI-TSA). Despite the worldwide economic downturn, the 2009 VLSI-DAT has attracted 300 attendees with a very high-quality program featuring 3 keynote speeches(including 1 joint kenote), 5 invited talks, over 70 technical papers, 3 tutorials on hot topics and 9 industrial talks. In 2010, the VLSI-DAT and the VLSI-TSA will be held again in the same week with a two-day overlap.

The conference is proud to create a platform for technical exchanges and communications shared by experts from all over the world. The purpose is to bring together scientists and engineers actively engaged in research, development, and manufacturing on VLSI Design, Automation and test to discuss current progress in this field.

Hsin Chu is the semiconductor capital of Taiwan. Its science-based industry park is home to foundry giants TSMC and UMC as well as many world-leading fabless IC design companies such as MediaTek, Novatek and Sunplus. It is also the home city of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao-Tung University. The VLSI-DAT is an excellent opportunity for VLSI Design professionals and researchers to meet together. Hsin Chu is only one-hour bus-ride away from Taipei, the real capital of Taiwan, where great tourist attraction is abundant. Join us at the VLSI-DAT to experience vibrant Hsin Chu city in which the technical and cultural atmosphere have been harmoniously connected.
