The 2012 International Workshop on Context-Aware Computing Applications and Services via Wireless Sensor Network (CAC-WSN 2012) will be held Gwangju, Korea, September 6-8, 2012.
The CAC-WSN 2012 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on Context-Aware Computing and Wireless Sensor Network (CAC-WSN). The Workshop will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of WSN-CAC such as Ubiquitous and context-aware computing, context-awareness reasoning and representation, locations awareness services, architectures, protocols and algorithms of WSN, energy, management and control of WSN, etc.
In addition, the workshop will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in CAC-WSN. Furthermore, we expect that the workshop and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject
Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:
-Context-aware models and control
-Ubiquitous and context-aware computing
-Context-aware networks and communications
-Context-awareness reasoning and representation
-Context-awareness-based systems
-Locations awareness services
-Adaptive and context-based multimodal interaction
-Internet of Things for Context-awareness
-Context-awareness in energy-efficient computing
-Context-awareness in smart spaces
-Use of context-aware technologies for HCI
-Context-aware advertising
-Portable and smart devices
-Context-aware services
-Social Agents and Avatars
-Virtual Humans
-Autonomous Actors
-Understanding Human Activity
-Architectures, protocols and algorithms of WSN
-Energy, management and control of WSN
-Resource allocation, services, QoS and fault tolerance in WSN
-Performance and simulation and modelling of WSN
-Security and monitoring of WSN
-Deployments and implementations of WSN
-Energy optimization for WSN

==Paper Submission and Proceeding==
There will be a combination of presentations including scientific papers. Prospective authors are invited, in the first instance, to submit papers for oral presentations in any of the areas of interest for this workshop. Authors should submit a paper with 6-8 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. If you want to submit more than page limitation, you can add up to 2 extra pages with the appropriate fee payment.
Papers must strictly adhere to page limits as follows.
- Full Paper: 8 pages (Max 2 extra pages allowed at additional cost)
- Regular Paper: 6 pages (Max 2 extra pages allowed at additional cost)
Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review. Please use the Springer Proceedings format for submission. Template is available here: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-...). All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings as one of Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE) series published by Springer (indexed by EI) (Pending). Submission system: http://www.editorialsystem.net/cacwsn2012
Distinguished papers accepted and presented in IHUS-12, after further revisions and extensions, will be published in the special issues of the following international journals (confirmed):
- Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, Springer (SCIE)
- INFORMATION, International Information Institute (SCIE)
- International Journal of Sensor Networks (SCIE)
- Human-Centric and Information Sciences, Springer
