Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC) is an annual international conference organized by the Northeastern University of China. It has been technically co-sponsored by the Automatic Control Society of Chinese Association of Aeronautics, Application Society of Chinese Association of Automation and Intelligent Control, Simulation Methods and Modeling Society of Chinese Association for System Simulations and Management Society of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. The conference, consisting of keynotes, panel discussions, oral sessions and poster sessions, provides a forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest theoretical results and techniques in the field of systems, control and decision, automation, robotics, and emerging technologies.
The first CCDC was held in 1989 and since then the conference has been successfully held for 21 times. 2009 CCDC received an overwhelming response with a total of 2130 submissions from 33 countries/regions including Australia, Canada, Chinese Mainland, France, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Tunisia, United Kingdom, and United States. After going through a rigorous review process, 1233 papers were accepted. Finally, 1233 papers were registered and presented in 99 oral sessions and 9 poster sessions during the conference. 500 delegates from different countries/regions attended the conference. In addition to the normal technical sessions, the technical program also included five keynote speeches and seven semi-plenary talks covering the state-of-the-art in control and decision.
2010 Chinese Control and Decision Conference will be held from 26 to 28 May, 2010 in Xuzhou, China. The Conference is co-organized by Northeastern University, China, the Industrial Electronics (IE) Chapter of IEEE Singapore Section and China University of Mining and Technology, China. The conference will serve as an exciting major forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners throughout the world to present and discuss the latest technology advancement as well as further trends and needs in systems, control and decision automation, robotics, and emerging technologies. In addition to the technical sessions, there will be plenary sessions (keynotes).
2010 CCDC will also be technically sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society and IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, in addition to technical co-sponsorships from the Societies mentioned above.
Organisers:
Northeastern University, China
Northeastern University (NEU) is located in Shenyang of Liaoning Province, the center of economy, culture and transportation in Northeast China. The campus with the total-floor space of 750,000 square meters covers 1.98 million square meters, Mr. Chang Hsueh-liang, the well-known marshal who was praised as "hero of ages" by the late Premier Zhou Enlai, is the honorary president and chairman of the board of trustees of the University.
Northeastern University was founded in April of 1923. After over seventy years' development, it has become a nationally strategic university with outstanding academic programs in the engineering sciences and strong academic programs in physical and social sciences, and law and business administration sciences. The University is one of the 33 universities with graduate Schools in the nation. It has been approved by the state as one of the first group of "211 Project" universities which enjoy privileged construction.
Northeastern University is operated directly under the Ministry of Education. The University has designed 46 undergraduate programs, 53 master's degree programs, and 23 docdoral degree programs. It has two key programs at the national level and nine key programs at the ministerial level. Pste-doctoral circulating stations have been established for the five top-rate disciplins.
IEEE Industrial Electronics (IE) Chapter, Singapore
The Industrial Electronics Chapter of IEEE Singapore Section is a chapter under the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) and IEEE Singapore Section. It was one of the first few chapters of the IEEE Singapore Section. Since its establishment, the chapter through its members has been very actively involved in various technical and professional activities. The technical activities cover all areas in the application of electronics and electrical sciences for the enhancement of industrial and manufacturing processes such as Automation, Computational Intelligence, Control Systems and Applications, Energy and Environment, Mechatronics, Power Electronics, Signal Processing, Network and Communication Technologies and Emerging Technologies. To bring latest technology advancement and further trends and needs in these areas, the chapter has been constantly organizing technical seminars and lectures, workshops and short course for the benefit of its members and also community
The chapter has successfully organized or co-organized a number of international conferences, including
1988 Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IECON 1988)
2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN06)
1995 IEEE Power Engineering and Drive Systems (PEDS'1995)
1997 IEEE Power Engineering and Drive Systems (PEDS'1997)
1999 IEEE Power Engineering and Drive Systems (PEDS'1999)
2001 IEEE Power Engineering and Drive Systems (PEDS'2001)
The chapter also initiated the IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA) and has successfully organized or co-organized ICIEA 2006 in Singapore and ICIEA 2007 in Harbin, China.
