Short Course: 6. April 2010
The organizers cordially invite you to the forthcoming conference POLYCHAR18 taking place APRIL 7 ? 10, 2010 in Siegen, in the heart of Germany, easily to be reached from international airports of Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf. A short course on modern methods of polymer characterisation will be held by experts in the field for participants of POLYCHAR18 April 6, 2010.
POLYCHAR is a series of conferences taking place annually in different countries. http://www.unt.edu/POLYCHAR
POLYCHAR18 aims to bring together established polymer scientists from academia and industry, young researchers and students. Synthesis, Characterisation and Application of polymeric materials and biorelated polymers will be discussed in 2 parallel sessions including plenary lectures, keynote lectures, regular oral contributions and dedicated poster sessions.
Looking forward to seeing you in Siegen
Werner Mormann
Conference chairman and chairman of the Organising Committee

Scientific programme:
The scientific programme will include main (key note) lectures, symposia with invited, and contributed lectures, and poster sessions. We plan to have two parallel sessions and one or two dedicated poster sessions, where presenters have to be at their posters and participants will obtain vouchers for drinks and food from poster presenters.

Topics of POLYCHAR 18:
Structure, Morphology and Properties of Polymers
characterisation, testing, simulation/ modelling
Synthesis and Modification of Polymer Systems
Polymeric Materials and Application
stimuli responsive systems, devices, processing
Biorelated Polymers
bio, medical; sustainable approaches (including recyling)

Awards
The prestigious Paul J. Flory Research Award will be awarded during the conference.
