CFP- Special Issue on Energy-Efficient Networks and Scalable Solutions for GreenIT
Cluster Computing Journal
Energy efficiency is one of the most important issues of the modern-day and future computing and communication systems for achieving a sustainable development. Due to the importance of power and energy consumption in these systems various techniques and recent technologies have been investigated and developed. However, these solutions should be able to provide good performance and to cope under an increased workload demand. Moreover, the solutions should be able to preserve or even increase the efficiency when the number of resources increases. These new challenges require innovative and effective scalable solutions and optimization techniques for minimizing power and energy consumption in parallel and distributed computing systems, intelligent networks and information technologies.
The special issue will primarily focus on theoretical and practical novel solutions that advance the research in energy efficient distributed systems. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
? Scalability of energy-efficient solutions on large-scale parallel distributed computing, networks, information technologies and communication
? Green design scalability in Cloud
? Scalability of energy-efficient protocols/algorithms
? Large-Scale Collaborative Problem Solving Environments
? Multi-agent systems in large distributed environments
? Energy-efficient scalable resource allocation, scheduling and load balancing
? Green high density computing and ambient (ubiquitous) computing
? Energy-efficient scalable communication protocols
? Voltage and frequency scaled networks protocols
? Hardware solutions for achieving energy efficiency in large-scale networked systems
? Energy-efficient scalable communication interfaces for distributed computing
? Scalability of energy-efficient portable solutions
? Energy-efficient network elements
? Energy-efficient virtualization techniques
? Network models and simulation modules/tools for energy efficient solutions
Paper Submission:
The authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all areas of Energy-Efficient Networks and Scalable Solutions for GreenIT (conference paper extensions should include at least 30% new scientific contribution). Papers must be submitted electronically via the Editor Manager
(http://www.editorialmanager.com/clus/) by selecting the article type as Sp Iss: Energy-efficient Net. And Scalab Sol.
The maximum length of a submission (including tables, figures, and references) should not exceed 30 double-spaced pages.
