DACA 2013 - Davos joint Atmosphere - Cryosphere Assembly (DACA-13)
Topics/Call fo Papers
On behalf of the IAMAS & IACS Associations of the IUGG and the Swiss scientific community, the Organising Committee of the Davos joint Atmosphere - Cryosphere Assembly (DACA-13) invites the international scientific community to a conference in Switzerland in July 2013. The conference aims at presentations and discussions at the cutting edge of atmospheric and cryospheric science.
Participants at the conference will present and discuss the latest developments and research in these two scientific disciplines. Recognizing the fact that many of the key challenges confronting global environmental change lie at the interface of these disciplines particular attention will be devoted to the subtle interactions between these spheres.
The conference will comprise a number of self-contained symposia on focused atmospheric and cryospheric topics, and numerous joint atmosphere-cryosphere symposia/sessions. Therefore contributions on all studies pertaining to the atmosphere, snow, permafrost or ice are hereby requested. The program will be complemented by invited presentations of world-leading plenary and keynote speakers. In addition there will be a range scientific excursions and a social supporting program arranged in the mountains of Davos.
Andrew Mackintosh, IACS Secretary General
Hans Volkert, IAMAS Secretary General
Michael Lehning, Lead DACA-13 Scientific Organizing Committee
