This call for papers is addressed to authors who submitted their research to the UKPEW 2011 (Performance Evaluation Workshop), as well as to others in the field of performance evaluation and engineering.

UKPEW is the UK’s leading forum for presentation of work relating to all aspects of performance modelling and analysis of computer and communication systems, with topics ranging from network evaluation to grid and cloud computing. This year’s selected papers discussed a variety of topics, which included high performance computing, energy efficiency, analytical modelling, performance studies and tools, wireless networks, cloud computing and network security.

Authors of papers published in the proceedings of UKPEW 2011 as well as any other authors of relevant work are invited to submit significantly enhanced versions of their papers. All papers will be refereed in accordance to the standards of the journal.

Instructions for submission can be found here. Papers for submission should be formatted according to the journal style and then submitted via the journal web-based paper handling system at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/compj.

Authors should mention the “Performance Engineering Special Issue” in their submission letter.
