SPNC 2012 - The Computer Journal Special Issue on Security and Performance of Networks and Clouds
Topics/Call fo Papers
"Special Issue on Security and Performance of Networks and Clouds"
We solicit papers on a broad range of topics pertaining to the performance of networking, cloud computing and software infrastructures and the related security issues. Topics include, but are not limited to:
? wireless sensor networks and emerging technologies, and in particular their security, energy efficiency, self-organisation, data aggregation, attack resilience, smartphone security, vehicular networks security;
? wireless network protocols for autonomous and cooperative robots, rate-based protocols, protocol security;
? architectures for seamless storage and computing, cloud security, privacy and performance; and
? self-architecting software systems, data and information quality, secure web services
Original papers that were orally presented at the Computer Systems Research Symposium that was held at the University of Buffalo in September 2011 in honour of Professor Satish Tripathi are especially welcome.
**Submission guidelines**
Only high quality original work that has not been published or is not currently under review elsewhere will be considered. The submitted papers should be formatted according to the journal style and submitted via the journal web-based submission route at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/compj.
Submissions should be accompanied by a covering letter that clearly states that the submission is for the Special Issue on Security and Performance of Networks and Clouds.
All submitted papers will be refereed based on originality, scientific quality and relevance to this Special Issue and will be accepted or rejected in line with the usual standards of The Computer Journal.
**Important dates**
Submission deadline: 1 December 2011
Acceptance notification: 1 February 2012
Final papers due: 1 March 2012
Publication date: 1 September 2012 (online publication occurs upon paper acceptance)
