GEOINFORMATIK 2012 - GEOINFORMATIK 2012
Topics/Call fo Papers
Welcome to the GEOINFORMATIK 2012
True to the motto Mobility and Environment the GEOINFORMATIK 2012 will take place in Braunschweig, Germany from 28th - 30th of March 2012. Bringing together GIS-scientists, representatives of business and public administration we will discuss the potential of GIS and neighbouring disciplines like traffic management, automotive engineering and infrastructure planning. Further, GIS techniques analysing feedbacks of individual mobility and the environment will be issued as well as natural risk on infrastructure. The main topics will be
Geoinformation on Traffic Planning and Management
Sensor Networks for Environmental Monitoring and Traffic Management
City Models
Geodata Infrastructure for Urban Areas
Infrastructure at Risk / Supply Guaranty
Host of the Geoinformatik 2012 in Braunschweig is the Institut für Geodäsie und Photogrammetrie der TU Braunschweig (IGP), the Verein zur Förderung der Geoinformatik in Norddeutschland (GiN. e.V.), the Gesellschaft für Geoinformatik (GfGi) and the Niedersächsisches Forschungszentrum für Fahrzeugtechnik (NFF).
Abstracs should cover innovative research results and ideas as well as solutions of practical relevance or strategically importance to the aforementioned fields. Please submit your contribution using http://geoinformatik2012.geod.bau.tu-bs.de/.
Suggested topics for papers include, but are not limited to:
Geodata infrastructure for urban areas
Modelling urban areas (for traffic planing)
Application of digital 3D city models
Sensor networks for environmental monitoring
Sensor networks for traffic management
Car2Car / Car2X ? concepts and applications
New concepts for transportation - GIS supported carsharing
Public and individual transportation
Transport by sea, track and street
Infrastructure at risk
Risk management and supply Guaranty
Demographic change and mobility
Ontologies and semantic models for GI and Web services
GeoWeb 2.0 and location based social networks
Volunteered GIS
Open Source and free Geodata
Innovative applications and GeoAPIs
Location Based Services (LBS) and mobile GIS
All submissions will be reviewed by 3 colleagues. Elected contributions will be published as an extended abstract of eight pages max in the conference proceedings (ISBN) and be presented as an oral presentation by the author. Poster abstracts should not excess three pages in their camera ready version.
Please make sure that your abstract communicates clearly the research questions, the methods and the results achieved - in contrast to a mere motivation and introduction to the topic or a project summary. This is necessary to assure a meaningful and objective review of your contribution.
Companies have the opportunity to make a sponsored presentation or exhibit their products during the GEOINFORMATIK 2012. For more information on our exhibition and sponsoring conditions please click (in German only) http://www.geoinformatik-os.de/index.php/de/ausste....
