Abstract
The workshop "The International Workshop on Mobile Cloud Platforms and Applications" intends to provide a forum and foster discussion on mobile cloud. The mobile cloud convergence is a paradigm shift in field of mobile and parallel computing. In the next few years, we can expect a major shift from traditional mobile application technology to mobile cloud computing. It improves application performance and efficiency by offloading complex and time consuming tasks onto powerful cloud computing platforms. By running only simple tasks on mobile devices, we can achieve a longer battery lifetime and a greater processing efficiency.
