IHC 2011 - X Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing
Topics/Call fo Papers
The Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems, IHC, is the major event to exchange ideas and information about studies and multidisciplinary research activities that contributes to the interaction between users and computer systems. It is also a meeting place for university researchers and industries located in Brazil and other countries, as well as designers, developers, educators and others professionals from different traditions and communities.
The first edition of the IHC was in 1998. By 2002 the event was held annually. Since then, the IHC has been held every two years alternating with the CLIHC, Latin American Conference on Human-Computer Interaction. In 2010, the event was held in Belo Horizonte - MG and was attended by 200 people.
CLIHC aims to bring together people's diversity, culture, geography, history and Latin America perspectives from professionals in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (IHC). The conference provides a moment for exchanging ideas, methods, approaches and techniques that aim designing interactive experiences for the people of Latin America. This event had its origin in Rio de Janeiro 2003, Brazil. Following editions in Cuernavaca 2005 - Mexico, Rio de Janeiro 2007 - Brazil and last occurred in Mérida 2009 - Yucatán in Mexico. In consonance with previous editions, we believe that in the field of IHC, not only we must come to a technology that can be used and appreciated by many people as possible, but also to promote intercultural exchange and cooperation between people with different backgrounds and needs. The conference is open to all topics and subjects related to Human-Computer Interaction.
IHC and CLIHC 2011 will be held at the Hotel Armação in Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil.
