tdla 2012 - 2012 IEEE/PES Transmission & Distribution Conference & Exposition: Latin America
Topics/Call fo Papers
Date of the conference: 3 - 5 September 2012.
Renewable energies are becoming increasingly more important in electric power systems along with the gradual introduction of electric cars bringing new challenges for the management of dispatch of generation resources in the system and for the grid operation.
In this context we propose it as the theme of the IEEE PES T&D LA 2012, dealing with these challenges.
The key-topics will be:
Management of systems with large-scale wind penetration,
Stability of power systems with high penetration of distributed generation,
Network operation in a scenario of a major conversion of the fleet automotive combustion engines to electric motors.
Renewable Energies in a developing continent.
Maintenance and operations of energy plants.
Who should attend?
The conference will bring together energy professionals from the academia, policy makers, non-governmental organizations and the private sector:
Executives from energy companies;
Government officials from energy and environment planning and regulation institutions;
Members of non-governmental energy and environmental agencies;
Energy specialists from universities and research institutions;
Energy policy analysts;
Energy market analysts;
Energy consultants;
Environmental specialists;
Energy journalists.
