The wired and wireless network infrastructures with heterogeneous home network and varieties of powerful smart devices will eventually provide a transparent social and entertainment platform for all consumers. This symposium aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to share interesting ideas, present novel results, discuss potential challenges, and propose new research directions in consumer communications and home networks. To ensure complete coverage of this broad area, the Consumer Communications and Home Networks Symposium solicits original contributions in, but not limited to, the following topical areas:
* System design for social networks
* Real world applications of social network
* Mobile and pervasive social networks
* Green home networking
* Content distribution in home networking
* Management of home network and devices
* Applications and services for home network
* Coupling mobile devices with home network
* Smart devices on home network
* Over-the-top video and entertainment services
* Standards for home network (UPnP, DLNA, etc)
