AO North America is calling on orthopaedic trauma, craniomaxillofacial, spine and veterinary surgeons and researchers to submit abstracts for the 2012 Challenges in Fracture Care Across Disciplines scientific meeting, taking place February 23-25, 2012 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. In order to be considered, abstracts must be submitted before the designated deadline date. Submission categories and subcategories for abstract submissions include:

- Bone Healing
- Bone Tumors
- Bone Growth Abnormalities (From Early Growth to the Elderly)

? Challenges in Fracture Management

- Rationale for MIO
- New Techniques
- Clinical Outcomes ? Comparative
- Intraoperative Imaging ? Risks and Safety Issues

? Primary Fracture Treatment
- Pre-Op Planning
- Intraoperative Techniques

All abstracts must be submitted electronically at www.connect2conferences.com/aona1/. Submissions will be expected to include title, purpose, study methodology, results, and conclusions and will be accepted until the July 24, 2011 (12:00 a.m. EST) deadline. The Magic of Synergy: Challenges in Fracture Care Across Disciplines scientific meeting is uniquely designed to bring together surgeons in orthopaedic trauma, craniomaxillofacial, spine and veterinary medicine to discuss challenges in musculoskeletal disorders and fracture management. Topics of mutual interest and specific sessions will be provided to address issues and challenges that are unique to each specialty yet share similarities. This meeting is the first of its kind to bring together these diverse specialties who share the same goals of improving the care of their patients (animal and human) with musculoskeletal disorders and trauma.
