About the conference:
The 2nd European conference on Online Qualitative Research (formerly QRWEB) will be held on the 30 November & 1 December in Milan, Italy. The aim of this conference is to bring together academics and practitioners to discuss the latest cutting-edge online qualitative research and how they can be used effectively to deliver actionable insights. This conference will be co-organised jointly by Merlien Institute and the Catholic University of Milan.

Conference format:
The conference will consist of submitted (reviewed) presentations, invited keynotes, brainstorming workshops and interactive discussion sessions. As with all our past events, this conference provided excellent opportunities for participants to network with peers.

Call for Abstracts/Presentations:
Practitioners and academics are encouraged to submit their presentation abstracts including but not limited to the topics of interests listed below.
-Integrating Web 2.0/3.0 into traditional qualitative research: what needs to be adapted?
-Analysing user-generated qualitative data and implementing effective social media listening techniques
-Developing engaging market research online communities (MROCs) for qualitative research
-Using software and online platforms for analysing qualitative data: what are their implications for research?
-Qualitative research collaboration through cloud computing: how to work and share via the web?
-Keeping stakeholders engaged: how to keep clients involved in your online research
-Integrating qualitative research findings in quantitative research: what are the best practices?
-Discussing challenges and issues while carrying out qualitative analyses in social media
-Utilising a mobile platforms to capture the 'moment': capturing text, pictures and videos in real-time
-How to design and execute successful qualitative research studies online
-Understanding when to use online methods over traditional offline methods
-Evaluating the rules and tools of conducting qualitative research on the Web
-Discussing best practices in moderating online focus groups
-Assessing privacy issues, and ethics of conducting research using social media
-Developing participant recruitment strategies: what are the challenges and pitfalls?
-Assessing the internal and external validity of online qualitative research: what are the implications?
-Overcoming the handicaps of communicating online without non-verbal cues

Publication Opportunities:
All abstracts and papers will be published in our digital proceedings. Selected papers will be considered for publication with our reputable journal partners.
