DUET 2011 - DUET 2011: Dual Eye Tracking in CSCW
Topics/Call fo Papers
Call for paper DUET 2011: Dual Eye Tracking in CSCW
A one-day workshop at ECSCW in Aarhus, September 24-28.
http://www.dualeyetracking.org
Dual eye-tracking (DUET) is a promising methodology to study and
support collaborative work. The method consists of simultaneously
recording and analyzing the gaze of two collaborators working on a
common task to better understand and support their interaction. The
main topics addressed by the workshop are challenges of eye-tracking
methodology in collaborative situations and future applications of
dual eye-tracking in CSCW. Current challenges that will be discussed
include the aggregation of raw behavioral data into indicators of
effective joint action, the definition and implementation of measures
of gaze alignment, adapting gaze analyses to task specificities. The
DUET workshop format will combine paper presentations, as well as a
small-group design session to explore future uses of eye-tracking in
collaborative work settings.
Organizers
Patrick Jermann, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland
Roman Bednarik, University of Eastern Finland, Finland
Darren Gergle, Northwestern University, USA
