GSP 2011 - 2011 International Workshop on Genomic Signal Processing (GSP)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The second International Workshop on Genomic Signal Processing (GSP2011) is organized by the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest (UPB), the Biomedical Engineering Center, Bucharest, Romania; with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation; the IEEE Romania Section; the Commission for Biomedical Engineering of the Romanian Academy and the Romanian Bioinformatics Society, in the Senate Room of UPB, on June 27-28, 2011. The web site of the workshop is (http://GSP2011.dsp.pub.ro).
GSP2011will be held at the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest, Romania. The event is organized in conjunction with ISSCS 2011 (the 10th International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems) being held at the Technical University of Iasi, Romania on June 30 and July 1, 2011 (http://scs.etc.tuiasi.ro/isscs2011/).
The significant recent advances in genomic studies have stimulated synergistic research in many cross-disciplinary areas. The huge and continuously increasing volume of data produced by the current high throughput sequencing and microarray technologies, most currently available in the large genomic databases, requests specific Genomic Signal Processing (GSP) techniques to extract useful information and knowledge. GSP2011 is a scientific forum devoted to the area of GSP and its applications in system biology and medicine. The main purpose of the GSP2011 interdisciplinary workshop is to bring together specialists from various fields of engineering, mathematics and computer science, as well as biology and medicine, interested in genomic signal processing, functional genomics and systems biology.
