Call for Papers- Graphic Novel Conference 2011“Sites of Visual and Textual Innovation”

Instituto Franklin ? UAH organizes an international conference on comics and graphic novels.

The main objective of the conference is to bring together the highest number of specialists and researchers of comics (graphic novels, manga, BD, etc) in order to reflect on the study of this area. The theme is “Sites of visual and textual innovation” and it welcomes papers on (but not limited to): the origins of comics, avant-garde and experimental narration and biography and autobiography.

The languages of the conference will be English and Spanish.

Deadline for acceptance: May, 31st 2011.

Conference would take place at Universidad de Alcalá in Spain.
