ADVANCED COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE
(ADCOM 2009)
14th ? 18th December 2009 ? Bangalore
Towards a Green and sustainable Computing?
Advanced Computing and Communication Society (ACS) in collaboration with
the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore announces the 17th annual
International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communications (ADCOM)
in Bangalore during 14th -18th December 2009.
ADCOM, the flagship event of ACS, is a major international conference that
attracts professionals from industry, academia and governments across the
world every year to share and disseminate their innovative and pioneering
efforts on recent trends and development in high performance computing.
ADCOM is the field?s preeminent event for learning, networking and trend
spotting.
ADCOM, over the years, has been a very successful and a highly rated
conference that draws leading scientists and researchers in computational
sciences. The conference this year is reaching out to practicing engineers
and professionals from the industry to complement the tremendous academic
reputation acquired over the past two decades. The conference will
leverage the synergy between the academia and the industry by addressing
current topical areas that significantly impacts the industry.
ADCOM 2009 explores "Green Computing? as the central theme to achieve
higher standards for energy-efficiencies in data centers and related
infrastructure components, central processing units, servers and
peripherals. It will emphasize reducing resource consumption in the march
towards sustainable computing and a 'greener' ecosystem. Domain experts
present and debate the issues and policies affecting Green initiatives and
related areas in the multi track conference.
ADCOM 2009 seeks to influence government initiatives and public policies
on Green Computing while promoting effective and appropriate designs for
extending computing to the rural areas in improving delivery of public
services like education and primary healthcare.
ADCOM 2009, under the patronage of Dr. P. Balaram, Director of the Indian
Institute of Science, will be chaired by Dr. N. Balakrishnan of the Indian
Institute of Science, Bangalore and Dr. Patrick Dewilde of the Technische
Universit?t, Munich, Germany.
Champions and Thought leaders of the industry, government and academia
will deliver the keynote messages at this event and deliberate on
technical and business matters related to but not limited to:
? Energy Efficient computers
? Energy Efficient Data Centers
? Low Power Devices
? Energy efficient compilers
? Parallel computing
? Operating Systems
? Reconfigurable computing
? Human computer Interface
? Secured Transactions
? Computing for emerging markets
? Computational Biology
? Social Computing
The Conference features an exhibition of products and services from
leading vendors in the computing industry. Graduate students from across
the world will also present poster sessions describing their research.
ADCOM has also been a fertile ground for recruitment of graduate students
and professionals alike.
The annual CDAC-ACS FOUNDATION LECTURE AWARD will be presented at the
Conference to honor outstanding contribution from an individual in
Computational Sciences.
Important Dates:
Technical Papers sought by 10th July 2009
Acceptance communicated by 1st September 2009
